Can't believe tomorrow I fly out to Portland for our big Northwest road trip! After what seems like months of planning, it's finally here. Again, for any of you in Oregon or Washington, I would love to meet up! 

Other big news, I was recently made a brand ambassador for one of my favorite companies, Woolrich! I was so excited when I received these pieces by them, and knew I wanted to showcase them on a special adventure. My mom and I planned out a mini road trip to west New York to see the area's infamous wealth of waterfalls. It was an amazing day! We started off at Watkins Glen State Park where my new rain jackets definitely came in handy. Both this classic yellow jacket and the light anorak helped keep us dry from the water's spray! We then made our way to the incredible Taughannock Falls. One thing I am really happy with is the backpack I received from Woolrich. It's made in collaboration with another of my favorite brands, Topo Designs. Their Rover Pack is super comfy and kept all my gear safe throughout the trip. Definitely can not recommend this bag enough!

  After spending some time at the falls, we hopped back in the car toward Lake Ontario to explore Beechwood State Park. This place is pretty unreal - it's an abandoned Girl Scout camp that it situated right on the lake's edge. The coolest part about it is that all the old cabins are still intact and accessible. By the time we reached the area, the temperature had dipped a bit, so I was happy to be able to pull on my Patrol Down Parka. For anyone who knows me, they have to admit that I have a slight obsession with Winter coats. There's nothing as satisfying to me as pulling on heavy layers when it gets cold out! This parka is my new favorite. Honestly looking forward to cooler temps just so I can wear it again! 

The following day we both had to be back in the Adirondacks, as I had to drop off a photo that's currently being shown at View Arts Center in Old Forge. The drive to get there from the cabin cuts right through the middle of the Adirondacks, showcasing tall pines, mountains, and dozens of lakes along the way. And as luck would have it, we spotted another giant log pile (something I always stop to take photos of). I scrambled up in my new buffalo check flannel shirt to channel my inner Twin Peaks log lady. And really, what goes better together than flannel and log piles? After that, I had to head back to the city. It was a total whirlwind of a weekend, but I wouldn't have had it any other way!
