Into the Woods
Happy Halloween! Sorry it's been a little quiet on here, my poor computer's hard drive crashed a couple weeks ago and took some unsaved photos along with it. Lesson learned, guys! Save the photos. Always save the photos.
Anyway, WOW. October has come and gone. The leaves in the city are really only just starting to change and get pretty, but they hit peak Upstate a couple weekends ago. I was lucky enough to get up there last weekend before they all disappeared and I'm so happy I did. I forgot how beautiful it can be up there in the Fall. I can't begin to describe how excited I am for Winter at the cabin (but Fall is coming in as a close second!). The lakes and mountains are going to look so inviting once they're covered in a blanket of snow.
Also, since we're already based in the Adirondacks, traveling to other locations takes wayyy less times. Feeling a little spoiled about that. I'm realizing there are SO many places up there that I haven't explored yet. Sometimes I kick myself for not being more interested in going there when I was younger (considering most of these places were only an hour or two away!). But hey, at least I get to discover everything now.
Here are some of the photos from our hike to Lower Ausable Lake. This is honestly probably one of the most beautiful hikes I've ever done in New York. It had everything! Rivers, bridges, waterfalls, lakes, and mountains. What more do you need? Will share the rest soon! In the mean time, have a safe and spooky Halloween weekend!
