Goodbye Shadows
Just got back from another Adirondack adventure. The shifting of seasons is apparent even up north, where the grounds are once again bare, and only the lakes remain frozen. Last week there was snow followed almost immediately by sun and 70 degree temperatures. March is funny like that. A couple weeks ago I made it out for one last Winter hike, and was happy to have my friend, Natalie, along for the trip. We visited frozen waterfalls, took in some snowy mountain views, had a rainy (and foggy) day at the High Falls Gorge, and explored an abandoned theme park. All in all, not a terrible way to say goodbye to Winter.
