Waterrock Knob
Happy Friday, guys! Sharing some photos from our journey to Waterrock Knob in North Carolina. We drove through the Smokies on the Blue Ridge Parkway to reach this mountain, which by itself, is worth the journey. The mountain range looked like it belonged straight out of Jurassic Park (which I think I stated probably a dozen times throughout the drive). The pines were a beautiful blue-green, and the air smelled so crisp and fresh.
Places like this are so surreal to me. They're so different from the views of my everyday life. I really love New York but lately I've been thinking about what's next for me. I've lived on the East Coast my entire life, and in New York for almost all of it, minus a nine month stint of living in Boston. But I have a feeling that I won't always live in this city. Maybe my most frustrating trait is that I'm the world's biggest planner. I love to organize days, weeks, months of my life in advance. It doesn't give much way for spontaneity. I feel that if I lived closer to nature, it would fuel me with a desire to just jump in a car and GO. No plans, just a map and camera and a burning desire to explore. I guess it's a "grass is always greener" kind of situation. What do you prefer? City or Country?
